Kick off the upcoming season and help Casting for Recovery, a non-profit offering free fly fishing retreats to women with breast cancer, raise money for its Western Slope retreat. Shanna in a Dress is your quirky best friend who refuses to wear pants. She says what everyone has felt but no one else will say and you'll get an uncensored journey of clever humor and heartbreak, extreme candor, and a hefty side of entertainment at her shows. This witty wordsmith is known for taking you on an emotional roller coaster, sometimes within the same song. Think John Prine mixed with Ingrid Michaelson with a twist of Phoebe Buffay from Friends all wrapped up in a sweet voice accented by guitar, piano, and ukulele. She's as real as it gets, as anyone who follows her on FB or Instagram knows. Shanna started her career at the University of Virginia, fell in love with Boulder, Colorado, and now keeps her fun music flowing out of Nashville unless she's touring the US or Europe. Jane Monheit Concert Raising Funds for Boys & Girls Club and Wildhorse Arts & Cinema Event Overview The Boys & Girls Club of Northwest Colorado and Prescription for the Arts proudly present Jane Monheit in Concert — an unforgettable evening of world-class jazz in support of youth mental health and creative healing. This special performance raises funds for The Boys & Girls Club and Wildhorse Arts & Cinema's Prescription for the Arts, an innovative program that provides mental-health-supported arts experiences for youth and individuals navigating depression, anxiety, and isolation. Through partnerships with the Boys & Girls Club of Northwest Colorado, Yampa Valley High School, and community providers, the program connects young people with professional artists for transformative one-on-one creative experiences. Proceeds from the evening will be shared between both organizations to expand access to youth arts programming across Northwest Colorado — helping more young people discover confidence, connection, and healing through the arts. The world is astounded when Willy Wonka, for years a recluse in his factory, announces that five lucky people will be given a tour of the factory, shown all the secrets of his amazing candy, and one will win a lifetime supply of Wonka chocolate. Nobody wants the prize more than young Charlie, but as his family is so poor that buying even one bar of chocolate is a treat, buying enough bars to find one of the five golden tickets is unlikely in the extreme. But in movieland, magic can happen. Charlie, along with four somewhat odious other children, get the chance of a lifetime and a tour of the factory. Along the way, mild disasters befall each of the odious children, but can Charlie beat the odds and grab the brass ring?

"Joins us for one Thursday a month for a themed storytelling evening. Structured similar to the Moth Radio Hour on NPR, The Moose Story Hour is an open mic event where we invite members of our community and visitors alike to share their stories related to the rotating monthly theme. Storytelling can help us foster greater community, understanding, and friendship. Each storyteller is welcomed to the stage to share a true story from their own life that relates to the central theme of the evening.  April's theme is Spring and Renewal. Your story must be true, your own, and under five minutes. Some helpful guidelines we go over every evening at the beginning. Elaborate on the scene to help your audience visualize your story. Who’s there? Where are you? What’s happening? Was the weather a factor? Anything unique in your environment that is relevant to your story? The classic structure always works: a beginning where we meet the characters and the situation, a middle where something changes or a problem arises, and an ending where things resolve — or surprise us.
