What sets her story apart is the radical empathy she maintains for the suffering of others… including her captors.\n“This story changed me\,” said Rabbi Kolby Morris-Dahary of Har Mishpacha\, who met Liat last summer while studying at the Shalom Hartman Institute in Jerusalem. “What struck me most was her ability to hold compassion even in the face of unimaginable pain.
