With more than two decades of global touring\, twelve studio albums\, and countless collaborations with legendary musicians\, Jane has become one of the most beloved interpreters of American jazz standards. \nHer musical journey began in childhood\, studying woodwinds and piano\, performing in award-winning choirs\, and appearing in community theater on Long Island. At just 20 years old\, while a senior at the prestigious Manhattan School of Music\, Jane placed second in the renowned Thelonious Monk Competition (now the Hancock Competition)\, launching an extraordinary career almost overnight. \nBy age 22\, she was performing and recording alongside jazz icons including Tommy Flanagan\, Ron Carter\, and Kenny Barron. Her artistry has since led to collaborations with Terence Blanchard\, Ivan Lins\, John Pizzarelli\, Christian McBride\, Vince Mendoza\, and many others. She has appeared on major television programs including The Tonight Show\, Good Morning America\, CBS Sunday Morning\, and The View\, and her voice has been featured on notable film soundtracks such as Sky Captain and the World of Tomorrow and Never Let Me Go. \nJane continues to perform at the world’s most celebrated venues — from Carnegie Hall to the Hollywood Bowl to legendary jazz clubs including the Village Vanguard and Birdland. In addition to touring\, she mentors and educates students worldwide\, sharing the artistry and discipline that have defined her remarkable career. \nShe lives in Los Angeles with her husband\, drummer Rick Montalbano\, and their son. \n❤️ Impact\nEvery ticket purchased helps change a young life. \nFunds raised will directly support one-on-one creative experiences for youth working with professional artists — providing safe spaces for expression\, confidence building\, and emotional support. SUMMARY:Musicals Through the Years: The Original Willy Wonka - 50 years later!
DESCRIPTION:The world is astounded when Willy Wonka\, for years a recluse in his factory\, announces that five lucky people will be given a tour of the factory\, shown all the secrets of his amazing candy\, and one will win a lifetime supply of Wonka chocolate. Nobody wants the prize more than young Charlie\, but as his family is so poor that buying even one bar of chocolate is a treat\, buying enough bars to find one of the five golden tickets is unlikely in the extreme. But in movieland\, magic can happen. Charlie\, along with four somewhat odious other children\, get the chance of a lifetime and a tour of the factory. Along the way\, mild disasters befall each of the odious children\, but can Charlie beat the odds and grab the brass ring?

SUMMARY:The Moose Storytelling Series -Spring and Renewal
DESCRIPTION:“Joins us for one Thursday a month for a themed storytelling evening. Structured similar to the Moth Radio Hour on NPR\, The Moose Story Hour is an open mic event where we invite members of our community and visitors alike to share their stories related to the rotating monthly theme. Storytelling can help us foster greater community\, understanding\, and friendship. Each storyteller is welcomed to the stage to share a true story from their own life that relates to the central theme of the evening.  April’s theme is Spring and Renewal. Your story must be true\, your own\, and under five minutes.\nSome helpful guidelines we go over every evening at the beginning. Elaborate on the scene to help your audience visualize your story. Who’s there? Where are you? What’s happening? Was the weather a factor? Anything unique in your environment that is relevant to your story? The classic structure always works: a beginning where we meet the characters and the situation\, a middle where something changes or a problem arises\, and an ending where things resolve — or surprise us. But don’t feel constrained to a beginning\, middle\, and end! The best stories connect with the audience and we are here to lean in and listen to you\, our storytellers. Maybe we’ve never had your exact experience\, but I’m sure we’ve felt what you felt. \nWhat do you think of in your own life when you hear the words Spring or Renewal? Everyone has a story about a fresh start or an exciting once in a life time spring break. Perhaps a story that just takes place in the spring\, or at a spring. Did you have a new beginning? And exciting trip? A story about coming back to life after a time of sadness? These aren’t polished speeches —just honest moments\, big or small\, told from the heart. Let’s celebrate the power of personal stories to connect us all.” \n

SUMMARY:A Tale of Two
DESCRIPTION:2024 AMERICANAFEST Official Showcase Artist \n“Official Showcase Artist: 2022 Folk Alliance International Conference” & 2022 Kerrville “New Folk Songwriting Contest Finalist” \nCombining the best of Americana and blues melodies with timeless Southern storytelling\, award winning vocalist Stephanie Adlington and guitarist Aaron Lessard draw influence from the likes of Tom Waits and Ray LaMontagne\, along with bedrock artists such as Patsy Cline and Hank Williams Sr. A Tale Of Two has opened for notable artists such as Mary Gauthier\, Grayson Capps\, and Peter Mulvey. Not unlike the artists who inspired them\, the duo’s songs frequently dabble in stories of revenge\, drinking and feature sinners of all stripes and persuasions. \nOozing an infectious stage presence and chemistry that carries over from the music to the back and forth banter between songs\, “A Tale Of Two” offers a different kind of Americana – storytelling by a swampy pair of retro raconteurs spinning blues arias with soul\, intrigue and power. \nhttps://www.taleoftwomusic.com/ \n  \nVIDEO\n \n

SUMMARY:The Risan Project Presents: Cresta Alta
DESCRIPTION:The Risan Project Presents: Cresta Alta\nA glaciological expedition-based climate science and sustainability documentary film screening + Q&A with director\, producer and cinematographer\, Todd Anders Johnson\n\nWildhorse Cinema\n655 Marketplace Plaza\nSteamboat Springs\, CO\n6:30pm doors + meet & greet\n7:00-7:15pm Introductions from regional speakers\n7:15pm Cresta Alta\n8:15pm Q&A\n\nIn Cresta Alta\, join filmmaker\, Todd Anders Johnson\, on a 10 day backpacking expedition to the McCall Glacier in the Alaskan Arctic National Wildlife Refuge with Dr. Matt Nolan; setting up basecamp at the Gamma Glacier in the Olivares Basin\, high in the Chilean Andes with Dr. Sebastian Mernild; trekking to Lake Pacacocha\, situated at 15\,000 feet in elevation\, in the Peruvian Cordillera Blanca with Dr. Rachel Chisolm; joining the Icelandic Glaciological Society jeeping up the Vatnajökull ice cap to conduct ice core drilling and meeting with the President of Iceland to discuss his experiences and perspectives on climate change impacts in Iceland. \n\n\nThe Cresta Alta Film Tour has been engaging audiences throughout the US with arts councils\, colleges\, high schools and museums with Risan Media’s expedition-based climate change documentary film titled\, Cresta Alta\, that chronicles a journey to Alaska\, Iceland\, Chile and Peru to document glaciological research expeditions and sustainability. The screenings are followed by a Risan Studies Q&A with environmental filmmaker\, Todd Anders Johnson\, who studied development issues at the University of Washington. With a foundational perspective that more sustainable policies are imperative and that there are effective renewable and sustainable options to employ regionally\, nationally and globally\, Todd has dedicated himself to the arts in creating entertaining and educational film\, music and events. \n\nIn Cresta Alta\, Todd takes a more urgent approach\, following scientists as they study glaciers and observe firsthand the rapid changes happening to these ecosystems. “Cresta Alta was an adventure story\, a research expedition\, and a personal journey all in one\,” Todd said. “I wanted to tell the story of these scientists and show how their research is helping us understand the very real effects of climate change. It’s all about trying to make the science more accessible\, but also making it emotionally compelling\, so people can understand why this is so important.” – The Risan Project Tour: Todd Johnson Brings Environmental Advocacy to Fairbanks \nThe University of Alaska Fairbanks Sun Star\, By Amber McCain \n“Todd’s film documenting his travels\, his interviews with leading scientists across the world\, and the amazing cinematography was a great experience for our students. There were multiple entry points for discussion\, including from scientific\, creative arts\, geopolitical\, and humanistic angles. I highly recommend Todd’s work for any school looking to bring real-world examples of the impact of climate change\, and what the next generation can do about it.” \nChristopher Young\, North Country Union High School Principal\, Newport\, VT \n  \n  \nCresta Alta Film Website\nwww.crestaaltafilm.com\n\nCresta Alta Film Trailer \nhttps://youtu.be/BGwX82nF54Q \n  \n\n  \nCresta Alta Film Behind the Scenes \nhttps://youtu.be/Tctx_MMaKmQ
